Appearance: Rhode is short for her age, roundabouts of 5 foot or under and very skinny. She would appear to be frail at first, though her personality makes up for any misunderstandings in that area. She is of mixed descent - half-German, half-Hispanic - making her skin is tanned but not all that dark. Her hair is black as can be and very untamed; it spikes out like a lion’s mane most of the time. Her eyes are hazel (canon are gold), usually bright, and always have the “troublemaker” look to them.

Though she will tolerate the school uniform (do we still have those, actually?), she much prefers her casual Lolita attire: a white frilled top, black mini-skirt, black and white stripped over-the-knee socks, polished Mary Janes, and, naturally, black fingernail polish. Accessories to her normal outfit usually include a red ribbon tied in a bow around her collar, a laced cross necklace, and a pink umbrella with a jack-o-lantern at its tip.

Personality: Rhode’s personality reflects that her mindset is much younger than her actual age. She is whiny, possessive and, for lack of a better term, a brat. As explained below, she has not had the traditional upbringing with two parents and so ended up spoiled by a father who did not understand how to discipline her properly. She is accustomed to getting what she wants and to never having to hear the word “no” directed her way. Whenever things happen to not go her way, she throws a fit until she does get what she wants. Compromises are foreign to her.

Her persona is much like the traditional “Goth”, but she is far more playful and interacts much more than any Goth. She likes playing simple games like twirling with her umbrella or hide and seek. This falls back on her upbringing which, while lacking discipline, was also very sheltered. She’s Daddy’s little girl and was protected from all the harsh realities of the world from her Daddy. Much of her is very naïve due to this. Her grades will not show any naiveté though. Rhode is amazingly bright but has no work ethic to speak of. Usually she will end up pressuring someone else into helping her with or actually doing her homework at the last minute. She is a first class procrastinator.

After realizing his mistake in raising her, Rhode’s father has sent her off to school to 1. Learn more about the real world, and 2. Learn some discipline.

History: (This is based off of another AU RP I’m in with her. With WR, I’m going to still play off of that history, only without mentioning specific names as certain characters may appear in WR as player characters.)

Rhode was born to Eden Camelot and Adelbert Steiner (Final Fantasy IX). Her father had had a child before Rhode, Sora (Kingdom Hearts), thanks to a mistake in high school that had then left him as a single parent.

...understand why names are being left out yet? Of course, you do! XP

When she was four, Rhode’s mother was murdered before her eyes, granting the young girl a fair amount of childhood trauma. Because of this, Rhode has a sick admiration for the bloody and gothic, yet shies away from anything involving actual murder. She is sometimes required to revisit a therapist to see to this problem and, most times, ends up scaring the therapist with her fascinations.

She has lived with her father and half-brother all of her life in the same apartment. Though she has seen her father attempt to date, he has never remarried since Eden’s death.

Rhode has been attending regular public schools since preschool, and has done very well with every subject presented her. Her only problem in school (aside from the traditional bullying that comes no matter who you are), was being able to interact. Not once in grade school did she get any of those cute little certificates praising Citizenship, Friendship, Self-esteem, etc. The teachers would always bring up her inability to play properly with the other students during parent-teacher conferences.

When she got to middle school and the problem still persisted, her father realized that something might actually be wrong with his little princess and began sending her to etiquette lessons. (Her brother still holds a grudge over her for this because he was forced into going as well). She was a natural at her lessons and performed perfectly afterwards, though still was unable to interact properly for her age level. The problem was not with her actions but more with her personality. Additional therapy sessions did not help either, and once her father realized that there was nothing he would be able to do to help, he sent her offto White Ridge in hopes that being away from him might help her to develop socially. He blamed himself for her problems and saw this solution as a self-punishment for himself.

Rhode, however, saw this as more of a punishment for her and a betrayal on his part. She still has yet to see that she ever had any
problems that needed fixing enough so to ship her off! Upon being sent away, Rhode decides to go by her mother’s maiden name, Camelot, as a way to get back at her father for sending her away. She announces herself as Rhode Camelot to anyone who asks. She intentionally acts out while at school, another attempt at getting back at her father. She hopes that she can get at the school staff enough for them to send her back home.
